This knife has earned several nicknames like “The Warlord”, “The Beast”, and “The Tank”. It is one of the best utility knives on the planet. It serves as a fierce protector while also being able to be batoned to split wood and serve as an all round useful tool.

Installing a CB radio has come in handy for me more times than a few just in everyday life.
Obviously, you’re not going to keep a CB radio in your GHB (Get Home Bag), but keeping the car ready and equipped is all a part of getting home safely if you’re lucky enough to be in a situation where you can use it.

The Minn Kota Terrova is one of the most popular trolling motors on the market. Not only does it provide many of the technological advances of other bow-mounted trolling motors, but it comes with the trusted Minn Kota name, which as of 2019 claimed 80% of the trolling motor market share.

The built in universal sonar offers excellent performance and reads your surroundings very accurately. From my experience with this motor, the sonar is very effective. From giving you a clear picture of the structure and layout of the lake floor, to picking up various size fish at varying depths, this sonar performs well enough to make even the grizzled angler feel spoiled.
I used the 72” shaft, 24 volt, 80lb thrust model on a 18’ fiberglass hull bass boat, and it performed, but Minn Kota also offers a 112lb thrust/36 volt behemoth. The Arctic Ice Extreme Conditions has turned out to be a personal favorite. I have yet to experience a boot that has NO limits when it comes to EXTREME cold.
Every boot has its limitations. However, I personally have never experienced a boot that challenges this rule quite like the Arctic Ice Extreme Conditions Muck Boot.
I have been in the tree stand in some bone-chilling weather in these boots and have not felt the cold creep in at all for hours.
When the cold did finally creep its way in (which, again, is inevitable with any boot out there) it was only mildly uncomfortable and extremely tolerable, allowing me to stay right there in the stand- still, stoic, and hunting.
Now, some common sense has to step in here at some point and we also have to realize that ice is ice, and nothing shy of a cramp-on is going to keep you from slipping on it.
But, I must say that I have been pleasantly surprised at the level of quality and performance this Vibram out-sole technology has displayed.
There have been plenty of times that I expected slippage to find myself standing firmly on the ground and even on some wet/icy and rocky terrains. Of course, testing these limitations is tricky and must be done with a lot of caution and respect, or one could end up badly injured.
Combine these boots with a good wool sock (at least one layer, though I like two) and a tiny bit of insulative space, and you’ve really got yourself a reliable situation in the throes of winter’s bitter chill.
